I studied Italian Language and Literature in Zurich and Rome. After graduation, whilst also undertaking research, I taught L1 and L2 in high school and college before, almost by chance, entering into in the world of adult education, which was like a bolt of lightning!
At the same time, I decided to fulfil a dream that had been remained on the shelf for too long – being involved in theatre. I went to an acting school in Milan and earnt my first role in a theatre production. Another bolt of lightning! In pursuing both of these passions, I have been dividing my time between Zurich and Milan for the last few years. It is trying! Then, being a good Swiss, I chose to compromise and settle in Lugano. I have come full circle. In 2000, in fact, not only did my collaboration with the Teatro delle Radici commence, but I also joined the staff of the ILI School, a fascinating microcosm where the world converges. It was here that I cut my teeth and consolidated my knowledge in the field of teaching Italian L2 to adults, being awarded the Certificate of the Swiss Federation for Adult Learning (FSEA 2) in 2015.
