THE SIRSSU FOUNDATION
The Fondazione della Svizzera Italiana per la Ricerca Scientifica e gli Studi Universitari (F.SIRSSU), established in 1979, with the aim of promoting the birth of the Università della Svizzera Italiana USI (1996), in 1981 to strengthen and promote the Italian language, useful for access to USI, includes the ILI Istituto di Lettere Italiane project in its development programme. Thus, in 1992, the Scuola ILI of Italian Language and Culture was born.
